Creamy Sriracha Honey Tuna Pasta

A quick pasta dinner tossed in a creamy garlic sauce balanced between sriracha heat and honey sweetness, finished with gently folded flaked tuna.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Pasta
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • Salt for the pasta water
  • For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp sriracha plus more to taste
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • To Finish
  • 2 5 oz cans tuna in oil, drained and flaked
  • 2 tbsp chopped scallions or cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add cream, sriracha, and honey. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in Parmesan until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Add the pasta to the skillet and toss, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Remove from heat and gently fold in the flaked tuna.
  7. Divide into bowls, top with scallions or cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.
